Can't really seem to join a single server, not even local ones which I was running for split screen.

So I've been told that this is a necessary step to hosting a private match, which is of course to port forward 2000-2010
but for some reason, I've been getting the "you can't join this party, please try again later".
This error even occurs when I try to join the same party on another window with the game open.
Note: Not sure if this is gonna help, but I have another installation of the game at another file but with that LAN Xlivelessness file.
The one I'm currently using is the one without XLLN file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. Enable debug logs and attempt to join the server named Test Server with the description DEV PREVIEW TESTING. You enable debug logs by going in Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Halo2\ then open in a text editor halo2config1.ini. Set these values like this. 1578738873619.png Then upload the log files, or PM those to me on discord at NukeULater#2331. They are located in the same folder.

Thank you for the reply, but I can't seem to find that server.

Edit: I do have the debug enabled

you can set the base port in the config file
by default, yeah it's 2000.
If you want to join with other game instances on the same computer, you have to fill the WAN, LAN fields and have a different port for each game instance

Also, the game only uses base+0, base+1 UDP and base+10 TCP
So apparently, for some reason the base port was 2000-2009 for some reason , I don't remember why
so I changed it to 2000-2010, didn't have a problem after that until now
but now after I changed it back to 2000-2009, it's suddenly letting me join network servers now

Now I got a new issue which I think I will be able to solve,
the xbox controls are all messed up, right stick click is A,
B is A as well left and right triggers are used to look left and right.
I might be able to fix this

Did you properly set-up the fields i told you about, and used another port for the second instance?

i.e if your base port is set to 2000, the game will use the ports 2000 + 0 = 2000, 2000+1 = 2001 UDP and 2000+10 = 2010 TCP, or if its 3500 it will be 3500 + 0 = 3500, 3500+1 = 3501 and 3510. Thats why it's called base port

And the base ports have to be different for each game instance. There are multiple config files in that appdata folder, if you opened multiple game instances
