Developers do what they want to their games. If they want to change it then they'll do that, its just how well it's received. That's the important part.

In all seriousness changing a game like Kingdom Hearts to a FPS would be a very very bad decision. That's not how it's meant to be played and it wouldn't make sense for the type of playstyle it has either.
