Hey guys, I'm Nick. Halo 2 used to be as much of my daily routine as eating and sleeping.
I am sincerely grateful for everything this community has done to revive such an important part of my early years.

The reason for this thread is regarding an issue I'm having getting the Launcher working.

Running Windows 7 HP 64-bit.

I've tried this numerous times, uninstalled Halo 2, reinstalled fresh, ran Launcher as Admin, update installs, XLive downloads completely, and the launcher stalls at 100/100 progress. From what I've read and seen, a login prompt is supposed to come up. I have yet to find a way to resolve this. Launcher is up to date, I've followed the tutorial, I'm completely baffled.

Here's a screenshot of what's happening:

I was wondering if anyone has had this issue or a similar one? Perhaps someone might know exactly what I'm missing or doing wrong.

Hmm i've not seen this issue come up.

Do one thing:
Ensure that you have the correct version of .NET Framework intended for the launcher, and ensure that you've installed + ran DXWEBSETUP.exe

Go to C:/Users/<User Name>/App Data/Local
And delete the H2PC file

Then go to where halo 2 is installed and proceed to delete both Xlive.ini + Xlive.dll
Then proceed to delete the launcher and re-download it (www.halo2vista.com/update/), I recommend putting the launcher on your desktop for ease of access. Run the launcher as admin and let it do its thing. It should be able to fully update and if not then i may offer to teamview you.

Let me know how things go

Do you have an anti-virus running? If so, disable it temporarily while downloading and running the launcher. Sometimes the launcher shows up as a false positive. It is not harmful to your you or your computer. Virus total scan: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/cb34 ... /analysis/

is .NET 3.5 enabled?

Check the "Turn Windows Features On Or Off" option within Programs And Features (Control Panel)
If activated.
The same but still with the problem, I can not find a solution.

Before the program failed me, I marked options to force updates
