Live and Network options are greyed out on menu. help

Hi,

I recently installed halo 2 vista and purchased a game key from steam. After logging in to live and inputing my key I noticed the Live and Network options were unclickable. After a few hours of searching I've yet to find an answer. If anyone knows how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated. Been looking forward to playing this game again for a while now.

That typically indicates that your game has not been installed fully. This mostly occurs if your computer goes to sleep or just randomly, try uninstalling the game and reinstalling it.

Nvm guys i figured it out and got it working. Did the phone activation process and that got my game activated properly and everything works fine now. See you all in the MLG FFAs! xD

does the phone activation cost anything? how does it work? will it work in canada?

Didnt cost anything. Took like 10 minutes to do. Used a CD key that was previously "activated", but still goes through. They have multipe phone lines for different countries. I don't see why it wouldn't work.
