My password is too long

When attempting to log into Live (and subsequently start the game), the password input has a 16 character limit. My current Microsoft account password is longer than 16 characters, so I'm unable to log in. I'd really rather not change my password just for Halo 2, as I use my account mainly for Outlook. Is there any way to bypass this password limit through modding?

Seeing as MP over Live is all but dead the only reason to login to Live via H2v is achievements from campaign and/or LAN play.

So if you want something else such as Project Cartographer enabled online MP or campaign without Live features, you will NOT need to login to that Live account.
