So for like 2 months I've been trying to figure out how to host a game and have my brother join. I really wanna play coop campaign with him and i found this tool on this page: https://halo2.online/threads/coop-mode-update.468/ So now I'm trying to host a server but every time I do i get this error: https://imgur.com/a/e5D4L After lots of google searching I came across this post: https://halo2.online/threads/tutorial-project-cartographer-on-2-pcs-no-vpn.950/ I followed L0RCH's guide but it still doesn't work and i get the same error. So if anyone can tell me how to fix it that would be very awesome :)

This is what I tried so far:
Changing base port numbers
Connecting both computers directly with an Ethernet Cable
Rebooting both computers
Deleting xlive.ini
Reinstalling Halo 2
Turning off and turning back on my router.

And basically trying everything else on every other forum page.
I really want to play co-op campaign with my brother because I can imagine so many epic moments like in Quarantine Zone with one of us as the driver in the Spectre and the other as the gunner.

Just one question ik (its kinda obvious)but are u port forwarded?
The host pc needs to port forward the TCP/UDP ports starting from Base port to (BasePort+9) so that clients can join him
And after that if the clients are in same network make sure to change the base port for others
[Edit] sry took so long to reply

If u want LAN gameplay then u can disable project cartographer by renaming the xlie.DLL to something else and then hop on the LAN browser but make sure u go to settings and select thr correct adapter on both computers
This way u can play locally between two or morr pcs connected in the same network
