"Waiting for everyone to load map"

Hello, I recently bought a used halo 2 game from Amazon. Installed it with project cartographer. When I try to a join game I get the message "waiting for everyone to load the map."

Any advice?

If you go to a game by yourself, (Create a new Game in the online menu) can you load and play on maps

I cannot load the map even when I host a game. When I enter the disk and the startup appears I get this error message "failed to launch the selected application......the startup application failed to launch the game..... details error code 740." I can however start the game from my desktop shortcut but still cannot load maps. Thanks.

How did you install the game

Put the cd in launched the cd startup activated the game

"preparing to start halo 2 for windows vista"

then I get the error message "failed to launch the selected application the startup application failed to launch the game details

error code 740."

I can launch the game through program files halo 2 though

should I disable my antivirus/firewall?

Nevermind got it working! I download the .bin that came along with project cartographer mounted it and worked!

Bought a Halo 2 from Amazon? But there's no PC version, that's why Project cartographer exists

I bought halo 2 games for windows pc dvd. I can take a picture of it.
