I must say that I enjoy playing Halo 2, but since the update has come, I have been getting some problems. When I was going to update the game my Internet ran into a problem, and cut off. Since then the update window says 'update failed', and every time I open it, or even try to make a new account the update always fails. I tried downloading the game from scratch and I ran into the same problem. The update said the game was patched then it said it failed again. When i run the game, i am prompted to make a Microsoft Games Live Account. And i checked the FAQ and those files are gone, same problem. I need some help, to set the game up again. Also, does multi player work now? Reply soon. If I have to delete all my files, is there a way to save my progress?

Delete the launcher.
Proceed to do the following:

Go to C:/Users/<username >/App Data/Local and find the H2PC folder
Delete this folder
Grab the launcher here: Launcher Page
Move Launcher to desktop
Run with administrator rights
If the update process does not occur, go into the launcher settings and select "Force Update"
