I was looking into pre-ordering Halo Wars 2, however I'm confused. Retailers are only selling the Xbox One version for pre-order, but the website says "Supports Xbox Play Anywhere: yours to play on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC at no additional cost". So I'm assuming I purchase the Xbox One version and it'll work on PC if I install it on Xbox and then log in on PC. "Install on your home Xbox One console plus have access when you’re connected to your Microsoft account". Just don't wanna pre-order the Xbox version because I'd rather play on PC, I could wait for release but it was just a thought.
Yeah, the Xbox Play Anywhere feature enables you to buy the game and play it on both PC + Xbox
So long as the box art/game packaging has that "Xbox Play Anywhere" feature, then it should be fine (should work on PC)
If there's an explicit PC version, I'd link that to you, but it seems like you might need to buy the Xbox version (which has aforementioned feature letting you play on your PC)
