Right click your game's shortcut, click properties then go to the shortcut tab.
From there go to the end and outside the parentheses, add a space and type -disabled3dex

Sorry to "invade", but didn't want to create another thread. Anyway, I tried this (also [re]moved the intro videos as some said before) and still not going, the splash screen appears for a few seconds, then the same crash message

The file, if it would help

Did you do it correctly. Show us your shortcut with the launch parameter. You are launching the game from the shortcut, correct?

Kinda. Well, tbh I'm running on Linux trough Wine, so I can't create a 'Windows shortcut', but the runner has the option to initialize the executable with the parameter. Screenshot_200103_091615.png

And I at least can confirm it takes effect. If I start the game with the argument, it goes to the splash screen then creashes, without the line the game window doesn't appear at all.

Hmm, I'm not too sure why it would be crashing then. The next update should have some UI buttons to disable/enable d3dex and it will be off by default.

I used the -disabled3dex method and didn´t work, it still shows the same message as
P1mpMonk3y101's . Any idea how to make it work?
Screenshots of the game and it's properties are below attached:

Press Windows key + R to open the Run window. Type this in and press enter: %localappdata%/microsoft/halo 2

Open the Halo2config file
scroll down about half way through and find d3dex
Then change the D3dex = 1 To d3dex = 0
