Hello Everyone!

I want to use the Halo 2 Fixer Upper to disable the in game mouse acceleration but it doesn't work.
I followed the instructions but the mouse input is not registered so I can't look around in the game.

Trying to run the game in compatibility mode crashes the game everytime I activate the Halo 2 Fixer Upper.
Do I need other addresse for the input or is there another way?

Thanks for the help.

Were there any prerequisite files that needed to be installed such as DirectX or .Net? What version of Windows? 64-bit?

Could you also provide a link to this program so I can see if maybe others are having similar issues, and to try it for myself to see of I can replicate the issue.

There weren't any prerequisites that I know of. Windows 10 64-bit.

There was also a new version of Sndrec32's Mouse tool.
https://github.com/Revan114/MouseThingy/releases

***CHANGES***
-Added Hotkey to Enable Tool
-Tool now autodetects Halo 2 process
-UI Revisions

As always, run the Tool as admin so that it doesn't crash and has a 100% chance of working
Tried that version too, same problem. I'm starting with admin rights.
I also tried it after reinstalling the game but nothing changed.
I forgot to mention that I use the xliveless fix too.

Is your game completely up to date to the latest version?, and what "xliveless" fix are you talking about.

Re: Halo 2 Fixer Upper Windows 10 mouse input not working HE

I finally made it work. Phew. Seems like the xliveless dll breaks the mousethingy fix.
I was talking about this fix:
http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Halo_2#Play_without_Games_for_Windows_-_LIVE

Here's how it works:
I used the h2launcher (h2shark) to activate the game the normal way and now the mouse thingy works.

I still think the addresses for the mouse input are the reason why mousethingy isn't working with the xliveless patch.
If someone could find out the new adresses it may work.

Thanks for your help guys.

I know what XLiveless is it shouldn't break your game or make mousethingy not work as http://http://h2v.online is based on the original Xliveless with added code to add additional support including online play.

h2shark shouldn't be used it's dead, It's also not necessary with XLiveless or Project Cartographer.

Xliveless will not change the addresses mouse-thingy uses, maybe there was something wrong with the version of it you were using a lot of users of Project Cartographer use mouse-thingy and have no issues at all, in-fact we plan to eventually integrate it into the project by default so an external application is not needed.

You're right I put xlive.dll back into the install folder and the mousethingy still worked. Seems like completely deleting the install folder before reinstalling should fix it then.

Well the vanilla version of the game would have different offsets from the updated version,
Did you happen to update your game before it started working?

H2 shark didn't activate the game. Full Stop
FishPhd's launcher doesn't handle any form of activation at all
The only way to obtain an 'activated' copy of halo 2 was to:
Install game via full game install, do not start
get a file called MF.dll from Fish's github
then update via H2online.exe (which downloads the game update, Xlive.dll and creates the ini)

Re: Halo 2 Fixer Upper Windows 10 mouse input not working HE

I used the keygen inside h2shark and put the serial into the gfwl activation prompt inside the game after login in to my gfwl account. The serial did work on that but it didn't work on the second activation prompt that pops up on windows. This is how I "activated" it. After that the game installed some forced update and then the mouse thingy worked.
