Hosting a Game

I'm still pretty new to the PC scene here. It seems that when I create a custom game, no one can join. Same happens to my friend. How do I get around that?

I played this game on Xbox Live way back in the day so I'd be interested in hosting some old school 4v4s as long as I can get people interested.

You have to port foward.There are alot of tutorials you can watch on youtube.
Btw, the ports are 1000, 1001 ... 1008 UDP.

You have to port forward ports 1000 through 1008 on your router set parameter to both UDP and TCP

And that's all? You just go into "Network", hit "Create Custom Game", and start it up?

after port forwarding correctly, yes. and make sure windows firewall allows connections
