How to join a game with a friend and ensure that we are on the same team

Hello,

I am new to Project Cartographer. I have been playing Halo 2 with Xbox live since it was released. I have an old friend who I have played with for years online and we would like to join the online matchmaking in Project Cartographer as a team and ensure that we are always on the same team. On Xbox live, I just send my friend an invite, he joins my party and he follows along with any online game I pick, and we are always on the same team when we get matched with a game. We usually just play 4 vs 4 on Team Slayer. I would like to do this exact same process for Project Cartographer.

Based on the story above, how can I do this in Project Cartographer?

Hate to break it to you but that's not possible. Especially since most of the servers have this lame "unfair teamchange kick" thing. You have to rely on luck here.

Thanks for the responce. So the work-around is, I should host my own server. That way I can arrange teams in the lobby before starting the game. Any better ideas?

Pretty much, host your own matches, or have him or you join, then wait for another player to join and then you or him join and be on same team
