Is it worth it to buy Halo 2 PC... ?

Hello !

I've just bought Halo 2 PC. But as you know, it's full of insane bugs :
- Teleport
- Low sensitivity
(for me )

I've tried everything, but nothing works. Soooo... I decided to try Cartographer. Buuut I've got the same problems than these guys : https://www.halo2.online/threads/halo-2-crash-when-starting.2859/

And it seems that we are not going to have an answer.
So One question. Did someone that buy the real game is actually not having issues ?
Or is it the worst thing ever to buy the game since the only solution someone gave me is "use full installer" that mean "crack the game instead of trying with the real one".

It's pointless to buy a copy because essentially all you're buying is a key and an installer. You don't need the key with this mod unless you're tying to get achievements on your account. This mod removes Games For Windows Live. And the installer is provided (I think, I know it used to).

Install the mod with either the "Cartographer Mod Installer " or "Manual Mod Install Package" after installing the game from https://www.cartographer.online/

If you're getting crashes find the dump and send it to a dev on discord.

Teleportation is probably due to insane refresh rates. Limit it to 60 or the game breaks.

Low sens has to do with raw mouse input. Try to disable it in the cartographer settings. (Main menu or HOME key in-game)

Off topic but it may seem morally wrong to install from an ISO that you didn't buy but to be honest it's not like you're supporting microsoft or bungie.

Well at least i've got my answer thanks. We clearly agree about the fact the game is completly broken (for win10 at least) and that there are no reason to buy it since it's an old game and that there are no official updates.

I will desinstal everything and use the full installer, and hope that this fucking Halo PC will become collector to sell it for the same price. Ahah
