Halo 2 crash when starting

Hello everyone.

I'm a halo player who reinstalled Halo 2 some days ago. I'm having problems when starting the game. It's important to say that I have windows 10.

When I click the file Halo 2 Project Cartographer, the game doesn't start. Instead, the game crashes and gives a message which says "Halo 2 has encountered a fatal error and needs to exit...". I attach a screenshot of the crash.

I hope someone can help me to solve this error.

Thank you for the reply.

I already reinstalled the cartographer with the file that you posted, but I continue having the same problem. What else could I do?

I'm also having the same crash. I've just about given up on this server and game. The more you people "improve" it, the more unreliable it gets. I went and got an original XBOX from eBay with the HALO 2 game. I'll play on a home LAN with friends.

I´m also having the same crash here, I uploaded the report given for the specific crash. I have to say my game is the Spanish version of H2 and I would love to keep it that way. I´m trying to run it under w10. Hope there´s something to do with this issue. Thank´s a lot.

I got the same issue, the problem was my graphics card Nvidia Gforce, so I opened Halo2 with the integrated video card of the PC; intel Graphic and works. You can try to play Halo with the integrated video card of your PC; Intel Graphic , or uninstall Nvidia drivers and install them again.

I got the same issue, the problem was my graphics card Nvidia Gforce, so I opened Halo2 with the integrated video card of the PC; intel Graphic and works. You can try to play Halo with the integrated video card of your PC; Intel Graphic , or uninstall Nvidia drivers and install them again.

I was having the same issue, go to your game file and remove the intro video and your game should launch after that, good luck!
