How to install Halo 2 PC (Project Cartographer)
​

-If you already have the game installed and you want Project Cartographer, all you need to do is download and run the patcher. This removes the launcher and all logins are done in-game now.​

Step 1: Download the Halo 2 for PC with Project Carotgrapher installer here:
http://www.h2pcmt.com/Cartographer/Installer/h2pc_installer_1.6.1.zip

Step 2: Installation Process
​

Extract the contents of the zip to where you wish by right clicking and selecting "Extract" (download 7zip or Winrar if needed)

Run the H2PC_setup.exe
Go through the installation process

Choose your desired install location (GAME FILES MUST NOT BE MOVED AFTER INSTALL)

If you get an Antivirus alert it is a false positive
Click "Run" if you get compatibility or performance issue windows.
Let the game install completely.

Step 3: Create an account in game. YOU WILL NEED TO VALIDATE YOUR EMAIL

Step 4: Once validated, go back in game and login.
​

If you see "Online", in the top left the game and project have been installed properly and you are logged in.​

Step 5: You will be asked to create a game profile when the game first starts or you can use the Default. Profiles are used for player customization.
​

In order to join servers you will have to click Network! (NOT LIVE) and click a server from there.​
